Little Papa is a pho place that has been rapidly expanding through Hongdae. They started as a little shop a while ago and now have three locations that I know of which is quite impressive. It is easy to see why this place is expanding so rapidly. This is easily one of the best pho places that I have been to in Korea.

The thing that really stands out to me about the soup in this place is the broth. The broth is sour and flavored to perfection. There are also generous helpings of meat that come with the pho and plenty of bean sprouts and onions. This is easily one of the best Vietnamese soup places that I have been to and the price is reasonable as well.

Bangkok Express 방콕익스프레스 - Sinchon 신촌

Bangkok Express was once a tiny little Thai restaurant in Sinchon, but since I have been living here they have expanded into a restaurant that is directly across the street from the original restaurant. The original place is tiny, but the newer location is a bit bigger.

The atmosphere of this place is really just that of any other restaurant and is good for all occasions. This would be a great place to take a date, to go with friends, or for just about any other occasion. The place is small, but it is cozy and the interior gives a classy feel. The walls are covered with pictures of K-pop bands which I find a bit funny.

The thing that speaks to the quality of the food in this place is their rapid expansion and despite the fact that there are two of these places within spitting distance of each other, you may very well still have to wait to eat at that place. It is actually that popular. It seemed that nearly everyone in the entire place was ordering the same thing and that is also what I ordered on my last visit. The soft shelled curry crab and the pad thai seem to be the most popular dishes.

The soft shelled crab is served in a yellow curry sauce with rice. It is an entire crab that has been breaded and cooked with vegetables. The flavor on this is just perfect. It is a tad spicy and crab is one of my favorite foods, so obviously I love this dish. The pad thai is a pile of noodles fried with a peanuts and vegetables. The sauce again had a slight spice to it and you can choose between a chicken or a shrimp variety. We had the shrimp variety and it came with large pieces of prawns that really added something huge to the dish.

This is probably one of the best restaurants in all of Sinchon and I highly recommend you check it out.
